Yes! But a few key factors come into play.
Your daily interactions with your dog—not just the training sessions—shape their behavior. Dogs are associative learners, so home feels different than training with us. It’s totally normal for them to fall back on old habits in familiar settings.
The good news?
After training, you’ll have the tools to guide them through those moments. With consistent, predictable feedback, most dogs develop new habits and default behaviors in about 90 days!
-
We’ve all been there—your dog is losing their mind, you’re saying ‘Sit? Sit. SIT!’... and nothing happens.
The easiest game-changer?
Use a leash indoors! It lets you guide and give feedback in real time.
Another key?
Boosting your dog’s engagement with you!
Our virtual or 1:1 private sessions are a great place to learn this—so you and your pup start working with each other, not against.

Maybe!
Just like people, dogs have different personalities—some are social butterflies, while others prefer their space.
We can’t say for sure without meeting your pup, but our goal is to help them feel comfortable around other dogs.
At a minimum, we work toward calm observance without the need to react defensively or demand interaction.
Advocating for your dog’s comfort is key! While dogs (like people) can build skills to navigate social situations, their natural tendencies—whether introverted or extroverted—will always be part of who they are.
We’ll help you understand your pup’s unique needs so you can set them up for success!

Dog training comes with a lot of ‘maybes!’
We love cuddle time with pups (and do it with our own!), but if your dog struggles with resource guarding or isn’t reliably responsive when asked to get off, it’s best to pause furniture privileges for now.
Sometimes, adding a cue—like inviting them up—keeps it structured while still allowing snuggles.
If having your dog on furniture safely is your goal, let us know! We’ll guide you through any needed steps to make it a smooth transition.
-
Surprisingly, no!
While walks can be great, they’re not the only way to fulfill your dog’s needs. A well-balanced dog is one whose physical, mental, and biological needs are met—and for some pups, other activities work even better.
We’ll help you understand what makes your dog thrive and, if walks are part of the plan, show you how to make them as beneficial as possible!
-
Not yet!
First, we want to build your dog’s confidence and stability on their own. In multi-dog households, each pup should be well-regulated individually before bringing them together as a balanced pair. Dogs mirror each other, so a new dog may pick up on your current dog’s struggles.
Plus, introducing a new dog is a big event! Setting everyone up for success starts with making sure your first dog is in the right mindset first.
-
Slow and steady wins the race!
Instead of letting everyone loose right away, give your new dog or pup time to settle in—it can take days or even weeks for them to settle and for you to see their true personality.
Start with calm coexistence possibly using kennels or baby gates so neither dog feels undue pressure. Introducing them in a neutral space or on a parallel walk will give you time to gauge their comfort.
A 1:1 private in-home session before or after your new dog arrives can help polish key skills and set everyone up for a smooth transition!
-
We hear this a lot, but don’t worry—our training won’t turn your dog into a robot or change who they are!
Our goal is to help them stay ‘online’—calm, responsive, and able to hear you in any situation. This often looks different from how you’ve lived with your dog before, but their personality is still there!
Think of it like a child knowing the difference between library behavior and playground fun, but still the same little person inside.
Ultimately, we want your dog to enjoy as much freedom as possible while consistently making good choices.
Just remember, every dog’s potential in this will look a little different!
