I have been doing virtual training with Bridget for about a year now with our German shepherd Zack! We live in Ireland and after speaking with Bridget I knew she was the right trainer for us!

Zack is a completely different dog, before we started training with Bridget he was an extremely anxious dog with severe reactivity, resulting in redirections onto myself where he broke skin! It would take him days to destress after seeing dogs 100meters away from us on a walk! He also suffered severe separation anxiety resulting in destroyed furniture, raiding of our kitchen and bins when he was left alone!

Fast forward to now (12 session later) he is so chilled out, happily staying at home on his own, passing dogs on the other side of the street comfortably with no issues at all! He still needs space but i have no doubt with a bit more work he will get there.

We have now introduced a new puppy into our family and with Bridget’s guidance she has settled in amazing and Zack has accepted fully as part of our pack!

Bridget and Life unleashed have absolutely changed our lives! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dog trainer! Even if you live thousands of miles away from them!

Best decision I have ever made for myself and my dogs!

Bridget is an extraordinary trainer, in addition to being a kind, generous and caring person. She has so much knowledge, and an incredible rapport with dogs.

Her work uses a balanced, practical approach, and she tailors what she teaches to the individuality of the dog and the issues at hand, as well as the people involved. We are so grateful to have met her.

Before meeting Bridget, we were so discouraged we nearly found a new home for our year-old Labradoodle, Sidney. Sidney is smart and sweet, but he is also stubborn, anxious, and terrified of thunderstorms and fireworks. South Florida is not a good place for a dog scared of thunderstorms and fireworks.

We worked with three different trainers, but things kept getting worse. The trainers insisted we must be doing something wrong (“Higher value treats! Use your happy voice!”) until it reached a point where Sidney was refusing even to go outside. We met Bridget through a mutual friend, and as a last resort we asked her to take Sidney back to New Orleans with her for a few weeks.

The change was astonishing. She taught him a series of essential commands, which he performed amazingly well. But then she spent time working with us. She provided us with a personalized manual, along with hours of in-person training here at our home. Everything was tailored to Sidney’s challenges, his personality and our goals. One year later, Sidney is thriving. We’re having so much fun together, including long walks that he loves.

I really can’t praise Bridget enough.

It took me nearly a year to find a dog trainer for my very reactive dog, Honey. I spoke with at least 6 trainers before finally finding Bridget and knew instantly that she was the trainer for Honey.

Bridget’s manner of explaining her training approach, the insightful questions she asked about Honey, my other dog Mr. Big, and my goals and expectations about training let me know that she truly heard our needs. We decided on the board and train option and shortly after she collected Honey, Hurricane Francine hit, limiting outdoor training opportunities. Bridget kindly extended Honey’s stay at no additional cost to make up for lost training time. (Who does that anymore??). Throughout Honey’s stay Bridget stayed in constant communication, letting me know Honey’s progress and sending photos and videos.

About halfway through the training program, I went to visit Honey and begin my own training journey. Because as much as Honey needed training, so did I. The way Bridget breaks down the “why” of certain actions and expectations, as well as the “how” made a lot of sense – but wasn’t necessarily easy for me to implement. As patient as she is with dogs, Bridget is also patient with their humans as they try to learn new ways of interacting with their dogs. Honey is home now. Is she the dog of my dreams? Yes. Yes and .... She’s not perfect and she is so much less reactive.

Bridget continues to support us and check in on our progress. Because my daughter often cares for my dogs when I’m not available, she has included her in our “return to home” sessions. Bridget even made an unscheduled stop to see how things are going and spent so much time helping me learn how to help Honey. She also explained that it will take time for Honey’s new learnings to sink in at home, where she’s had nearly 3 years of undesired behaviors. Bridget has taught us both so much and I would absolutely and unequivocally recommend to her to anyone looking for an experienced, caring, and committed dog trainer.

Why stop at 5 stars? I would gladly give 10!
