ABOUT YOUR TRAINER

Bridget Hammond

Hi, I’m Bridget, and I know firsthand what it’s like to love dogs but feel overwhelmed by all the conflicting training advice out there.

My journey started when I was a kid dreaming of becoming a veterinarian, but I didn’t get my first dog, Oliver, until I was 18. He was a Labrador, a total "unicorn dog" who made training look effortless. I took him to six group classes, read a new book, The Art of Raising a Puppy, and for 17 years, we lived a happy off-leash life together—turns out, I had no idea how rare that was!

Fast forward through 10 years in human medicine, 12 years running my own martial arts school teaching life skills to kids, teens, and adults. While raising a family and two very different dogs: Murphy, my energetic Irish Setter, and Charlie, my reactive Lab-Staffie mix. Suddenly, training wasn’t so easy anymore. I dove deep into research but found that confusing and conflicting and wasn’t getting me the life I wanted with and for  my dogs.

That’s when I turned to professional help, which evolved into my own journey as a trainer. Now, I combine my love for dogs, teaching, and science to help busy families and working professionals who want clarity, practical solutions, and a great relationship with their dogs. My approach is rooted in applied ethology, efficiency, compassion, and transparency—because training should fit into real life, not take it over.

I can't wait to work with you and your pup!
